Venue Information

​​The Conference venue is the Dante building (building ‘D’) at the campus of Tilburg University, Warandelaan 2, Tilburg.

The Tilburg University campus is located in Tilburg West and is only a 15 minute bike ride from Tilburg City Centre, or just 3 minutes by train from train station ‘Tilburg’, which is also in the City Centre.

The ​Tilburg University campus is located next to the woods (i.e. the ‘Warande bos’ or ‘de oude Warande’), where you can find the ‘Grotto’ tea garden, a fitness / running track, and the University Faculty Club. 


Travel Information

The nearest train station is “Tilburg Universiteit”, which is just a 5 minutes walk from Tilburg University campus, and 3 minutes by train from train station ‘Tilburg’, which is in the city centre. Get your train ticket

You can travel on the Dutch Railways with either a single-use chip card or an OV-chip card. Both are available from the yellow ticket machines at train stations/ airports with the blue overhead sign reading ‘train tickets’. Staff at the desk (if available on location) will also be able to provide you with train departure information and general information on traveling by train in the Netherlands. You travel by checking in and out your (single-use or OV) chip card at the train station before and after your journey.

Airport connections

Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam
From railway station ‘Schiphol Airport’, which is located at the airport close to Arrivals Hall 1, you can take a train to Tilburg University, via ‘Den Bosch’ (also spelled as " ’s-Hertogenbosch"). This journey takes 75 minutes.
 
Eindhoven Airport, Eindhoven
Take the bus to railway station ‘Eindhoven’ (about 10 minutes). There is a direct train from railway station Eindhoven both to Tilburg and Tilburg University. This journey lasts about 40 minutes.

Travel by bus 

Tilburg University can be reached by multiple bus lines. Leaving from the Tilburg CS bus station, you can take bus lines '4 Reeshof' and '131'. You should get off at the campus bus stop 'Universiteit van Tilburg'. About every five minutes one of those bus lines will leave from the Tilburg CS bus station. All names of the bus stops will be announced electronically and shown digitally. 

You can also take bus lines 2, 3 'Reeshof' until bus stop 'Station Universiteit' (which has station lifts) and walk further across a walkway, in order to reach the the campus of Tilburg University (< 10 min. walk). All names of the bus stops will be announced electronically and shown digitally. You can also plan your bus trip at www.9292.nl. 

Accommodation: Hotels and Hostels

NOTE: Most hotels in the immediate area appear to be booked for the period of the conference. However, public transport in the Netherlands is excellent, so there is no problem in staying  in a city close to Tilburg. For example: 

DEN BOSCH: Every 30 minutes you can take a train from station ‘Den Bosch’ to station ‘Tilburg Universiteit’. The train ride takes about 19 minutes. Station ‘Tilburg Universiteit’ is only a 5 minute walk away from the conference location.

BREDA: Every 30 minutes you can take a train from station ‘Breda’ to station ‘Tilburg Universiteit’. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. Station ‘Tilburg Universiteit’ is only a 5 minute walk away from the conference location.
